Earlier this afternoon, we did talk about how new Sprint rate plans could have sprung a leak somewhere in the Sprint office, leading all and sundry to start speculating over what could be. Well, you can shelve all of that speculation as Sprint has stepped forward to make an official announcement concerning a new plan which will offer unlimited talk, text and data to customers throughout the life of the line of service.
Those are pretty bold words, and it is encouraging to see a company like Sprint stepping forward to make such claims, and hopefully, they will back it up right to the very end. In fact, Sprint is now the only national carrier in the US that guarantees unlimited talk time, text, and data, for life, yo! The asking price? A cool $80 a month, so if you have been wondering whether there are areas in your spending habits that you ought to cut, this could be one of them, if your mobile phone bill tends to go north of a Benjamin each month.
There is also a new “Unlimited, My Way” plan which enables customers to customize a plan according to their preferences, where families can mix up the smartphones with basic handsets, while choosing from different data options for up to 10 lines linked to a single account. [Press Release]
