canon-g16Canon’s latest PowerShot G16 digital camera will continue from where the PowerShot G15 left off, where it will include a fair number of Canon’s most innovative technologies. Not only that, this happens to be the very first model among the G-Series PowerShot models that will feature integrated Wi-Fi technology, which means that the Canon PowerShot G16 is capable of letting you share images as well as video to social networking sites – and the normal suspects would be Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Flickr, or through email via the use of CANON iMAGE GATEWAY. Apart from that, you can also opt to upload images from just about anywhere through a compatible iOS or Android device after you have installed the Canon CameraWindow app which can be downloaded for free, of course.

The PowerShot G16 will feature a 28-140mm wide-angle lens accompanied by an aperture range of f/1.8 – f/2.8, which would come in handy when you shoot in low-light conditions. Not only that, the PowerShot G16 will be equipped with Canon’s HS System, where it will merge a DIGIC 6 image processor and a 12.1-megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS image sensor so that your photos captured in low-light conditions would look a whole lot better than ever before. I guess the Canon PowerShot G16 straddles the line between a DSLR and a compact digital camera, where it is tipped for an October release for $549.99 a pop. [Press Release]
