final-fantasy-vii-3d-printing

3D printing has made some amazing products ever since it’s been made available to the public a few years ago. 3D printing has made it possible to print the face of your unborn child, has saved the life of a baby as well as a duck. This time, 3D printing has gone to be used for something way more important than saving lives: printing Final Fantasy VII characters.

Yes – you read right. Nearly everyone’s favorite Final Fantasy title of all time has been immortalized by bringing their low-polygon renderings to life thanks to the work of Joaquin Baldwin. As you can see from the image above, all of Final Fantasy VII’s main characters and some of its secondary characters have been printed, and they look as great as they did in the original game.

The figures were created using full color sandstone and if you’re interested in being the owner of these 3D-printed figures, you’ll need to cough up anywhere between $13 to $32 each. You would think the most important characters will cost the most, but Baldwin instead is charging based on how much material it takes to create a figure. This means the Chocobo and Cait Sit will be among the most expensive figures, while more popular characters will cost less.
