397x354xiosiconshowdown-1375901008.jpeg.pagespeed.ic.LMHdgBR4GsWhen Apple announced iOS 7, there were many who were incredibly excited at the new UI which to be honest, was long overdue for a refresh. However at the same time there were those who did not like the new UI and its color scheme and felt that it ruined iOS for them. Naturally there will be more than one side to these sorts of things, which is why several iOS 7 beta testers have launched a couple of polls in which they ask participants as to which UI they prefer – iOS 7 or iOS 6?

The poll basically compares the new icons to the older icons of several apps, such as the App Store, Safari, Siri, Maps, the toggle switches, and etc. While these polls are hardly scientific in nature and hardly cover all iOS users, for the most part they do seem to favor iOS 7 at this point. One particular poll set up by LukeW seems to skew heavily towards iOS 7. However in the case of GiantSquid’s poll, the numbers are a bit more balanced, with some participants showing a preference to iOS 6’s icons, and even those who favor iOS 7 are only marginally ahead of those who prefer iOS 6.

Of course it should be noted that when Apple announced iOS 7, it was hardly a finished product and there were reports that there were many changes left to be made, which we guess we are slowly seeing in every beta release. What do you guys think? iOS 6 or iOS 7?
