lg-optimus-l1-2So, the whole world is enamored with the high end LG G2 which was recently announced, but how about something that is more easy on the pocket – in terms of pricing as well as size. We are looking at the LG Optimus L1 II in the image above, which was recently announced to be the latest member of the refreshed Optimus L family. The whole idea of the LG Optimus L1 II is to deliver a stylish handset (within the boundaries of LG’s definition of the word, of course) without compromising on entry level performance, all without having to break the bank, of course.

The name itself will most probably raise a fair number of eyebrows – after all, the L1 II does not happen to be a successor to a previous handset, as there was no such thing as an Optimus L1 in the first place. I guess the “II” there would depict the next generation of Optimus L series smartphones, no? After all, there is the Optimus L3 II and Optimus L5 II, so this naming convention would make plenty of sense. Hardware specifications of this device include a 3” 240×320 touchscreen display, a 2-megapixel shooter at the back with VGA capability, a 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, 7.2 Mbps HSPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 1,540 mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in tow.
