nokia-lumia-1020-woodThe Moto X from Motorola is said to arrive with a wooden back cover sometime in the fourth quarter of the year, but fans who want to fly the Nokia flag high do not want to miss out on such a “feature” as well in Nokia’s most recent flagship, which is why a bunch of hardcore fans of the Finnish smartphone manufacturer have banded together to roll out a wood edition of the Nokia Lumia 1020.

A Chinese forum claimed that the wooden Nokia Lumia 1020 that you see above is actually a wedding invitation between a couple, where wood is used as the medium of “communication”, where it has been specially engraved with the design of the Nokia Lumia 1020. Even more interesting is the addition of Live Tiles to the mix, now how about that? To make matters sweeter, the wedding date itself in addition to other details concerning the wedding have been engraved on the Live Tiles of the wood, and with this, perhaps we might see future designs such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 or iPhone 5 feature such invitations. What are some of the more creative ways that you have used to make sure that your artistic flair is displayed for all and sundry to see in tech glory?
