Nokia announced today that the “Lumia Amber” update will be rolled out from this week.. This particular update was expected to be released in July, but has been delayed by nearly one month. Apart from bringing the latest version of the core OS, Windows Phone 8, this update also brings a few updates that are exclusive to Nokia’s WP devices. The company says that the Lumia Amber update should be rolled out to all of its devices by the end of September.

The Nokia specific features include the Pro Camera app that was initially exclusive to the Lumia 1020. The app allows users to adjust exposure, shutter speed, ISO and more apart from offering a number of other advanced shooting options such as manual focus. The Nokia Pro Camera app will be available for Lumia 920, Lumia 925 and the Lumia 928. The update also brings Glance which puts a clock on the device’s lockscreen and allows users to double-tap to wake up the device. To mute an incoming call, all users have to do is flip the device over. Glance will be available on all Lumia devices, except Lumia 520 and 625. The Smart Camera software that was debuted with Lumia 925 is being added to all devices, it brings motion focus options for pictures taken through the camera. The update won’t be immediately available for all devices, roll out depends upon carrier release schedules.
