BSQgvj5IIAA4LuVWe’ve been hearing a lot of rumors about the Sony Honami, whose official names seem to be a toss up between the Xperia Z1 or the Xperia i1, but in any case we expect that Sony will make it official on the 4th of September during their IFA 2013 press conference. In the meantime it looks like Sony has decided to tease us with an image on their Twitter account, which based on what we can see, looks like it could be part of the Honami. The tweet also comes from Sony Xperia account which makes even more sense. The photo shows the power button which is reminiscent of the Xperia Z, but then again from what we hear, the Honami is somewhat similar to the Xperia Z in terms of design.

As far as hardware specs are concerned, the rumors are suggesting a 5” Full HD 1080p display. It is also rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset under the hood that could be clocked at 2.2GHz. It will also come with 16GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD, a 3,000mAh battery, and one of its main features would be its 20MP camera that will presumably attempt to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and the Nokia Lumia 1020. Like we said there’s a very good chance that the handset will be revealed at IFA 2013, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!
