We all very well know the dangers of texting and driving – where doing both, especially when you have one hand on the wheel and the other on your handset, could prove fatal – not only to you, but to the other motorists on the road as well, as a momentary lapse of concentration could end up as a disaster. The sad part is, you still see many people flout local laws concerning driving and using your handset, and even worse, some folks take things for granted and decide to text while they are behind the wheel, and it is not even a red light to boot. Hence, it is nice to see the main four mobile operators in the US, namely Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile (in no particular order) have joined forces to deliver the “It Can Wait” campaign against texting and driving, where you can see a documentary of it above.

This week, the documentary known as “From One Second to the Next” debuted, and it was directed by noted filmmaker Werner Herzog. Herzog said, “When you get a message while driving, it’s hard not to pick up your phone. With this film, we want to help make people more aware of the potential consequences of that action.”
