battlenetBlizzard’s Battle.net authenticator has served as an added layer of security to prevent your account from being hacked or access by non-authorized individuals. If you use it frequently and you have the mobile version of the app (available for both iOS and Android), you might want to hold off from updating your iOS device to iOS 7 just yet because according to a blog post by Blizzard, it could mess things up for you. According to Blizzard, they have identified a likely scenario in which updating your iPhone to iOS 7 could cause the Battle.net Mobile Authenticator app to reset.

This is not a huge deal as Blizzard has since listed a couple of ways to go about this while they work on an update that will hopefully deal with the iOS 7 issue. One of the ways suggested by Blizzard was to use the SMS service, or record down your authenticator’s serial number and restore code, remove the authenticator from your Battle.net account and reattach it post-update, or you could try updating to iOS 7 over WiFi instead of straight from your computer. The details can be found on Blizzard’s blog in the source link below, so you should probably check it out to save yourself from any issues that might pop up.
