plants-vs-zombies-2EA’s Plants vs Zombies title is undoubtedly a pretty big one as far as mobile games are concerned, which is why it’s not surprising that many were looking forward to the sequel, Plants vs Zombies 2, a title which was released for iOS devices back in August. The app is expected to make its way onto Android but until now there has yet to be a launch, and according to Frank Gibeau, the head of EA Labels, it seems that Apple allegedly paid the company off to hold off on releasing the Android version of the game. This is according to the folks at Giant Bomb with some of their sources.

According to Gibeau, he was quoted as saying that Apple gave them a “truckload” of money to delay the release of the Android version of the game, although how much a “truckload” of money amounts to and exactly how long the delay was supposed to be remains unknown. Apple of course denies paying EA off and for all we know, could have been some kind of marketing agreement where Apple would get an exclusive on the title before it was eventually released for Android, making this exchange of money less nefarious than it would seem, but do take it with a grain of salt for now.
