Another day, another leak. The folks over at China seem to be getting better and better at obtaining leaks of upcoming hardware, although this time around, it would have something to do with software that is on the way out. What you see above is an alleged HTC Sense 5.5 user interface leak, courtesy of Weibo from China. The screenshot of the user interface does point to a number of significant changes compared to the existing version of Sense UI, and I would say that the color scheme is what stands out the most from the rest of the visual changes. One would be able to notice the lighter background colors as well as several icons undergoing a redesign, making us wonder whether HTC Sense 5.5 is meant to go up against iOS 7.
Not only that, it does seem as though there will be a new email and music widget on its way which if true, will introduce additional versatility of the user interface. The smartphone depicted in the alleged leaked image could either be the HTC Butterfly or the Butterfly S, and assuming that is true, then the HTC Sense 5.5 user interface ought to be making its way to older generation devices.
