itunes-11.1

Apple has just released the latest version of its desktop music software. iTunes 11.1 is now available for download, with it, the company’s new music streaming service has finally gone live for the public. iTunes Radio was first announced back at WWDC 2013 in June. Its quite similar to Pandora, some have even termed it as a strong rival for Pandora. Later today when iOS 7 is rolled out to the public, iTunes Radio will also go live on millions of iOS devices around the world.

iTunes Radio resides within iTunes 11.1. Users can choose from 250 pre-set stations, they also have the ability to create their own stations by punching in the name of an artist or song. Another new feature in the latest iTunes release is Genius Shuffle, it basically provides a way for users to listen to songs that “go great together.” Clicking Genius Shuffle every time initiates a fresh shuffle of the music so that users have something new to listen to. There’s also the ability to create Podcast Stations, that stations will automatically be refreshed when a podcast is updated with a new episode. Last, but definitely not the least, iTunes 11.1 brings support to sync content to iOS devices running iOS 7. iTunes 11.1 can be downloaded immediately through Apple’s website.
