mgs-birthdayJust like how there are some “must watch” movies, “must listen to” music and “must read” books out there, it goes without saying that one should also go through the list of “must play” games, and I am quite sure that for many gamers out there, one of the titles would be Metal Gear Solid, or MGS for short. Metal Gear Solid happened to be quite an amazing PlayStation title, and it has also made its way to the Guinness Book of World Records.

For many folks, their first experience with Metal Gear Solid happened on the PlayStation, despite the first iteration of the game being released far earlier on an older console system. Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima was the primary driver of the game, where he managed to deliver a polygon-driven world to the masses – with full camera control to boot. Since that breakthrough game on the original Sony PlayStation, we have seen over two dozen titles, HD collections, spin-offs and ports. Those who want to give it a go right now can always enjoy it via the PlayStation Store as a PS1 Classic, while the entire saga of Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection, can be purchased from a good retailer near you.
