samsunglogoHow do you measure success? It really depends on which angle you are approaching the situation from. For the folks over at Samsung, they think that the Galaxy Note range has been quite a success over the years since the first model was launched, passing the 40 million mark easily. Andy Tu, Samsung’s general manager for Taiwan, recently shared that interesting statistic at the Galaxy Note 3’s launch in Taiwan, touting that the original Galaxy Note actually shifted 10 million units, while the sequel, the Galaxy Note 2 moved another 30 million units worldwide. This does beg the question – just how many models of the Galaxy Note 3 will be sold worldwide eventually?

This just goes to show that the phablet industry has a pretty bright future. After all, with such mobile devices getting more and more powerful, it makes perfect sense to display all those apps on a screen which has a far larger viewing real estate compared to a mere 4” display. Hopefully the Galaxy Note 3 will not crumble under the pressure for it to perform exceptionally well when it finally hits the market. Unfortunately, we have heard that local carriers in South Korea have reported some disappointing figures for the Galaxy Note 3’s pre-order. Will you be picking one up when it arrives in your territory?
