nl1520-1With Nokia’s event on the 22nd of October coming up, we guess it’s not surprising that leaks of the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1520 are starting to become more frequent than ever. The previous leak was the alleged press rendering of the device, but the latest leak is one of the handset in real life compared to another Windows Phone device. Thanks to this side-by-side comparison, we have a better idea of how monstrous Nokia’s latest handset truly is.

For those who haven’t been following the news, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is the Finnish company’s upcoming phablet device and will be the first Nokia and Windows Phone handset to sport such a large display. The display is allegedly set at 6” and will feature a Full HD 1080p resolution and the phone itself will pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, both of which are also firsts for Windows Phone devices. This is thanks to the Windows Phone 8 GDR3 update that will supposedly launch with the device, which will allow Windows Phone manufacturers to start creating quad-core, Full HD Windows Phone handsets.

On paper it would seem that the handset is on par with some of the top Android devices out there at the moment, but there are issues such as app availability that are one of the reasons holding users back from switching. Although for those who are more concerned about performance, the Lumia 1520 looks like it is more than capable of holding its own. Check back with us on the 22nd of October for the details.
