Ideas will remain as just that – ideas, unless something more is done about it. This is where crowdfunding sites such as Kickstarter tend to make an impact, as it gives the proverbial “wings” for such ideas to take off after getting enough funding to be turned into a reality. Well, here we are with a uniquely named FlyKly Smart Wheel (yes sir, I guess we have all moved on to smart wheels since our bicycles can no longer get any smarter), where it has been described as a tool which will allow you to go through busy city streets without taking up too much of your energy.
The FlyKly Smart Wheel is a pedal assist system that encases an ultra-thin electric motor as well as intelligent electronics within a robust housing, where everything is neatly fitted onto the spokes of a bicycle rim. In a nutshell, it will be able to fit just about any bicycle frame which will also allow you to use your bicycle in a far more efficient and comfortable manner. Right now, it has yet to raise the necessary amount of funds required to see it turn into reality, but since there are more than 30 days left to go, who would want to wager against it being realized?
