Microsoft unveiled two new tablets last month, the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2, which will offer some much-needed improvements over their original tablet counterparts, the Surface RT and Surface Pro. If you were interested in either the Surface 2 or Surface Pro 2, today is your lucky day as both tablets are now available to order not only in the U.S., but in 20 other countries around the world.

The Surface 2 will retail for $449, while the Surface Pro 2 will sell for $899. Not only are both tablets available for sale, but also a number of additional accessories, some of which also work with the original Surface RT and Surface Pro. The backlit Touch Cover 2 and Type Cover 2 keyboards are available for $120 and $130, respectively, while a Wireless Adapter for Typing Covers is available for $60. The Arc Touch Mouse Surface Edition is also available starting today for $70.

Both the Surface 2 and the Surface Pro 2 have received an improvement in the display department as they both feature a Full 1080p ClearType display as well as a two-shot kickstand, which makes it comfortable to use either tablet on a flat surface or on your lap. Both tablets also received a much-needed improvement in their battery life, which the Surface 2 has received 25% more battery life, while the Surface Pro 2’s battery life has improved by 75% when compared with their original counterparts.
