T-Mobile today announced the launch of its Smartphone Upgrade season. Under this promotion, the carrier is allowing customers to pick up certain new devices for $0 down. Customers who opt for a new smartphone under this promotion will not have to pay anything upfront, when picking up their new device. This is a limited time promotion, new and existing “well-qualified” customers as well as small business customers are eligible for it.

Customers can pick up any of the offered devices on T-Mobile’s Simple Choice Plan, since the carrier has shunned annual service contracts, there won’t be a traditional two year contract for the device. Instead, customers will have to make 24 equal monthly payments for the device that they choose. Under this promotion, the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 2 and the LG G2 are being offered for $0 down. 24 equal monthly payments for these devices amount to $29.50, $25, $24 and $25 respectively. These monthly payments will be billed on top of the service plan charges. The Simple Choice Plan starts from $50 per month and offers unlimited talk, text as well as up to 500MB of data. The $0 down promotion is going to be available across the U.S. at participating T-Mobile retail stores as well as through the carrier’s website.
