cod-ghostsIf you’re a fan of the Call of Duty franchise and would like to own some official memorabilia, you might be interested to learn that Activision Blizzard will be selling limited edition Call of Duty dog tags whereby the proceeds from the sale will go towards a not-for-profit organization that supports veterans. A similar program was launched last year and due to its success, the company has decided to do it again this year with brand new, limited edition dog tags that will be released alongside the developer’s latest franchise, Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The dog tags are priced at a rather affordable $4.99 each and will be available via retail stores such as GameStop, Costco, Walmart, Toys R Us, Best Buy, and Target throughout the holiday season, or at least until they run out of stock. The proceeds will then be donated to the Call of Duty Endowment charity. According to the foundation’s executive director, Dan Goldenberg, ““With the sale of Call of Duty Endowment dog tags last year proving so successful, it only made sense for us to give the Call of Duty community another chance to get involved and show their support for our nation’s veterans […] With our nation’s youngest veterans continuing to face unemployment at a much greater rate than their non-veteran counterparts, the work of the Call of Duty Endowment is more important than ever.”
