Gears Of War, Shoot Many Robots Free In December For Xbox Games With Gold

The year is slowly coming to an end, and the December Games with Gold program will certainly end the year with a bang as Microsoft is announcing Gears of War and side-scrolling shooter Shoot Many Robots will be available for free to Xbox Live Gold members.

Between December 1 and December 15, you’ll be able to download the original Gears of War for free, which we’re not sure if you’re aware, but there have been three additional games released since the first title was launched back in 2006.

The second title, Shoot Many Robots, is actually one game we’d recommend you pick up if you haven’t as it’ll be available for free between December 16 until December 31. If you enjoy side-scrolling co-op shooters that involve shooting a lot of stuff, particularly robots, as well as unlocking additional gear that improve your player’s stats as you progress through the game, then you’re going to enjoy Shoot Many Robots.

At this time, Microsoft has said they will only continue its Games with Gold program for the Xbox 360, although the Xbox One is expected to get in on the fun some time in 2014 and will run on a monthly basis. Hopefully Microsoft will start making some more recent titles available through Games with Gold as each month gets a little more embarrassing when compared to what Sony is doing with its PlayStation Plus subscribers.
