samsung-android-4.4-roadmap-leaked

Android users around the world are anxiously waiting for OEMs to detail Android 4.4 KitKat update roadmap. So far HTC has revealed when exactly it plans to update a few of its devices, and so has Motorola, which actually rolled out KitKat for Moto X even before the Google Play Edition smartphones got the update. A purported memo from Samsung India’s R&D department has been leaked online and it details when Samsung plans to update few of its devices to Android 4.4 KitKat. There’s no way to confirm the authenticity of this document, but its the only kind of roadmap related to the update for Samsung devices that’s available out there at this point in time.

According to the document, Samsung Galaxy S4 model GT-I9500 and Galaxy Note 3 model SM-N900 will be updated to Android 4.4 KitKat in January 2014. Galaxy S3 model GT-I9300 and Galaxy Note 2 model SM-N7100 are mentioned as well, slated to receive the much awaited update between March and April 2014. Samsung hasn’t said anything as yet officially regarding the Android 4.4 KitKat roadmap, but if this is a legitimate document, then it looks like people who own these devices will have to wait for quite a while before they can get some KitKat goodness on their Samsung device.
