image11-640x478We’re not sure how many of you guys need a bullet proof iPhone case, but in case you do, Proporta has unveiled a new case for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s that according to the manufacturers, will be able to withstand a shotgun blast from up to 20 yards. As you can see in the photo above, the Proporta iPhone case does not look particularly unique in the sense that you wouldn’t be able to tell that it was built for such protection. In fact it looks like your standard leather folio case on the surface, but in reality it’s actually lined with carbon fiber that it should be able to withstand a bullet to the case, which presumably will protect your iPhone at the same time.

Given that carbon fiber is stronger than steel, not to mention lighter, it is no surprise that performance cars tend to favor the material in an effort to make their vehicles lighter and stronger at the same time. In any case if you’re interested in getting your hands on Proporta’s bullet proof iPhone case, you can expect to pick one up from Proporta’s website for around $60. In the meantime if you’re an advocate of “seeing is believing”, you can check out the video below to see the case in action.
