McDonald’s may be considering 3D-printed Happy Meal toys, but the only way we’ll accept this move to 3D printing is if the toys are based on Japanese Happy Meal toys, such as the toys that will be available for the next few weeks.

You see, the McDonald’s Happy Meal toys in Japan will be several Nintendo-themed collectibles that feature Mario in a number of outfits, as well as Princess Peach and Yoshi. The Mario toys will have everyone’s famous plumber performing a number of activities, such as hitting a question mark block, jumping out of a pipe and celebrating on top of a flag pole. Mario will also be wearing some iconic outfits, such as the Penguin suit from New Super Mario Bros., Fire Power Mario from nearly every version of Mario’s games and a Boomerang suit from Super Mario 3D Land.

The Princess Peach and Yoshi toys are pretty standard as they just show both characters standing around, doing nothing particularly special.

It should be no surprise Nintendo has invaded Japan’s Happy Meal toys as at the end of this week, Super Mario 3D World will be released on the Wii U in the U.S., while a Japanese release will occur in just two days on November 21.
