Bethesda has been strongly hinting at a Fallout-related reveal for the past few weeks, with the latest tease coming in the form of a mysterious message found on an equally mysterious website simply known as The Survivor 2299. It looks as though The Survivor 2299 isn’t done with their teasing as a new message has just been released.
The original message found on The Survivor 2299 website reads: “AK: {REV _____ 5120} [CPS] PASS {LOC BB YEAR LET} – | H EY XHWHD OF GXSIHS EVE, ZFR G’K ATGEVY ROCL’JM QEOX. GTJX ZSFF QRETYHA HWEUHG WG VKKP HHWE. MCCCZNU SQ UUE VMXECEDCZ. MFE BNMC NEGE QLZCR TP MZ MR YUOG ACBSM. |.” Thankfully, Reddit’s Fallout subreddit has decoded the message, which says, “I AM SORRY TO INFORM YOU, BUT I’M AFRAID THEY’RE DEAD. YOUR LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM IS JUST FINE. WELCOME TO THE INSTITUTE. THE ONLY SAFE PLACE TO BE IN THIS WORLD.”
Below the message looks to be a timer that is counting down to Wednesday, December 11, 2014. We aren’t known to bet on things, but we certainly would bet that Bethesda will either finally reveal their next Fallout game, or just release yet another teaser to keep us yearning for an official reveal. Either way, keep your eyes open on December 11.
