Christmas has finally passed but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be any more presents. Valve has a pretty nice gift for millions and millions of Steam users, who’re definitely going to love it. It is offering Windows, Mac and Linux flavors of the Left 4 Dead 2 game for free until 1 p.m. Eastern Time today, Thursday, December 26th, 2013. Valve explains: “It will be free as in, grab it now, pay no money, and it is yours to keep forever – FOR FREE!” If you have been meaning to purchase the game, then this really is something to go in a caps rage for.

Valve hasn’t forgotten those who have already paid money for Left 4 Dead 2. It has added a new achievement to the game called “Ghost of Christmas Present,” this achievement can be unlocked by helping a player that downloaded the game for free through any campaign in the game. People who are able to get their hands on the free download will have access to the full version of this popular game through their Steam accounts. This special Left 4 Dead 2 free download offer comes as part and parcel of the Steam Holiday Sale 2013 that kicked off recently, offering discounts and deals on more than 2,000 titles.
