Polk Audio intends to brighten up your holiday season if you are a gamer – and even more so if you are currently rocking out to the Xbox One from Microsoft. Just how do they intend to achieve that? Well, Polk Audio has just announced the retail availability of the Melee headset and the N1 Surroundbar, which will retail for $199.95 and $299.95, respectively. Both models will be part of Polk’s dip into the world of gaming, and they have also ensured that they extended their partnership with Microsoft has been extended all the way through to the end of next year.
First of all, the Melee Headphone happens to be an Xbox 360-centric gaming headset which will feature proprietary electronic and acoustic tuning in addition to a DSP Amplifier for richer, fuller sound. It has a retractable near-field microphone so that you can carry out a conversation with your clan mates or to attend to calls, and it can be smoothly tucked away into the ear cup when not in use.
As for the N1 Sound Bar, this particular device delivers an immersive soundstage for gaming and entertainment regardless of the gaming platform, including the new consoles like the Xbox One and PS4. You will be able to enjoy Dolby Digital and a quartet of immersion modes so that your ears will always get the maximum, be it music, ambient details, special effects and dialogue.
