xperia-e2Sony has a brand new Xperia E2 smartphone that they intend to roll out sometime next year, and from the name of the device itself, it is a no-brainer that this particular smartphone will continue from where the Sony Xperia E left off. Needless to say, this particular model will come with upgraded features, which is a given, and one of the more noticeable improvements would be the inclusion of LTE connectivity, at least according to the folks over at EMSOne. Other than having LTE connectivity in the mix, do not expect it to come with a slew of high end specifications, especially when you take into consideration its predecessor that sports a 3.5” HVGA display, so we do not have too high hopes for the Xperia E2.

It does seem that the year 2014 is starting to shape up to offer more and more affordable smartphones that come with built-in LTE connectivity, and mobile carriers do seem to be the biggest winners if this is the case. After all, as more folks gain access to faster Internet on-the-go, logic dictates that revenue should go up, right? Considering how Google has more or less worked to make Android 4.4 KitKat run on decent hardware without having it reside on the high end spectrum, we are keeping our fingers crossed that the Xperia E2, too, will come loaded with it at launch.
