Fujifilm-X-T1-camera-leakPhotographers who are on the lookout for a new camera might be interested to learn that Fujifilm might have a new camera to announce later on this month. According to the rumors, Fujifilm is expected to announce their new Fuji X-T1 camera on the 28th of January 2014, and now thanks to a sighting in the Japanese newspapers, an image of the X-T1 has somehow made its way into publication despite not having been formally announced. The photo does not show much unfortunately and attempts to zoom in have resulted in a rather blurred and pixelated image.

In the meantime for those wondering what sort of specifications we might be able to expect, the rumors have suggested that the camera will be weather sealed for starters, making it a great camera for the outdoors. It has also been rumored to sport a bigger and better EVF compared to previous models, a 16MP APS-C X-Trans sensor II, 8fps with AF tracking shooting, support for UHS-II SD memory card that allows for fast writing speeds, and will be designed to resemble the Fujica ST which is a retro-ish sort of look, something we’re sure old school photographers might remember fondly. Take it with a grain of salt for now but check back with us on the 28th of January for the details!
