iOS 7 looks great and it is a refreshing change from the same iOS look that we have been used to seeing for the past few years. However there are some who aren’t overly excited about the new changes Apple has made to the operating system, claiming that it looks cartoony and too bright. With that being said, will Apple be taking these comments into consideration in future iOS builds? Apple has been known to stick to their guns so it’s quite hard to tell, but thanks to a new concept for iOS 8 called iOS 8 Infinity by designer Nico Achkasov, it has us yearning for some changes in future iOS updates that will hopefully be more in line with what Achkasov has created.

Upon first glance it might look like much and it might not look like Achkasov has changed much, but at the same time there is a slightly more toned down feel to the entire operating system which exudes a more “serious” vibe versus iOS 7’s design which can come off a little whimsical. This is because Achkasov has taken some design cues from Google’s icon design for its iOS apps, where a little bezel/shadow is added to the base of the icon that not only maintains its flatness, but at the same time gives it a little more “life” as well. In any case it’s just a fun concept and if you have a minute to spare, check it out in the video above.

So what do you guys think of Achkasov’s subtle changes to Apple’s operating system? Yay or nay?
