You know what they say – it is pretty pointless trying to reinvent the wheel, so what should be done is this – to make sure that the wheel itself is enhanced to be even more efficient. When it comes to virtual keyboards, the original one that came out is pretty much useless and slow, until apps such as Swype came into the picture that made your virtual keyboard a whole lot more intelligent. Well, the Minuum Keyboard did make quite a splash when it was first announced, allowing it to be flexible enough to adapt to new and upcoming technologies, wearables included. This time around, the video above depicts how the Minuum app is able to run on a smartwatch – now how about that?

As we all know, smartwatches are not exactly the largest devices on the market, and their relatively small screen size makes it difficult for one to trace through the numerous letters to “type” efficiently. However, watch the video above and see how Minuum is able to get around this line of thought, even on a 1.63” display. A Samsung Galaxy Gear was used in the demonstration, allowing you to dictate a short message on the watch in a jiffy. The Minuum app will play nice on phones and tablets, retailing for $1.99 a pop via the Google Play Store.
