The Nexus smartphones haven’t always offered a lot of color choices. With the Nexus 4, initially only the black color option was offered, later Google did release a white Nexus 4 though the quantity was quite limited. Its the same case with the Nexus 5, which is only available in black and white colors. Leaked screenshots of a revamped Google Play page for Nexus 5 hint at the possibility that Google might start offering the popular smartphone in as many as eight different colors.
As per the leaked screenshots, the eight colors include black, white, red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. This is actually the first time we have heard of the possibility of Google expanding the Nexus 5’s color options, the company itself hasn’t dropped any hints about it and it hasn’t even commented on this leak as yet. At this point in time it is not known when the new colors will go live in the Google Play store, so there’s not much we can do right now except sit and wait. For all we know, these screenshots could be an elaborate hoax, its best to take this with a grain of salt until an official announcement comes in. [Images via PhoneArena]
