Now here is an announcement that will definitely send SimCity fans into a delirious frenzy, or at least, to a certain degree. SimCity Offline has been announced, where it will arrive as a free download with Update 10 to all SimCity players. In a nutshell, once it is launched, the slew of your previously downloaded content will be made available to you regardless of the time as well as place. Even better is the fact that there is no more need for an Internet connection, now how about that for added convenience?
Right now, SimCity Offline is undergoing an intense period of testing so that it will be in a polished and pristine state by the time it is released to the masses. Having said that, SimCity Offline has landed in the hands of some of those whom they consider to be among the most hardcore players, who are the DevTesters. This particular group of volunteers will do their level best to “break” SimCity Offline prior to its official release.
With Update 10, you are able to enjoy playing solo in Regions on your own, or to take a stab at Multiplayer with other gamers worldwide. As for the Single Player Mode, you can play the game Offline by yourself, just like the good old days when there was no such thing as multiplayer gaming – the closest one would get to that would be the “hot seat” concept, as eschewed by Cyber Empires. Do you still remember that awesome game? [Press Release]
