tetris-ubisoftThe folks over at Ubisoft have a real treat for you – they are about to deliver what is known as one of the most famous games in the world to next generation consoles, namely the Sony PS4 as well as the Xbox One. Say what? I know, after spending $500 or so on such a console, one might not be expected to actually play a primitive game such as Tetris, especially when you take into consideration just how far the graphics in such a game can go. I did get hooked on Tetris again on Facebook for a while, but after being pwned by so many youngsters who have seemingly insane reflexes, I decided to call it a day. Ubisoft, however, has worked with The Tetris Company in order to develop the Tetris franchise for digital release on the Xbox One and PS4.

Tetris was first launched in 1984, and since then, it has graced more than 50 platforms and sold hundreds of millions of units around the world. Henk B. Rogers, managing director of The Tetris Company, LLC., shared, “We welcome Ubisoft to the Tetris family. I am 100% sure they will develop one of the best versions of the Tetris game ever.” Would you like to see Tetris on other platforms, like say, a smartwatch? [Press Release]
