nintendo-wii-u-review-14u revPeter Molyneux has never been shy or one to keep his opinions to himself. The developer behind titles such as Dungeon Keeper, the Fable series, Black & White, and the upcoming title Godus, has been pretty vocal about what he likes and what he doesn’t like in the past, and in a recent interview with Develop, the famed developer was quoted as calling the Nintendo Wii U “clumsy” and “awkward”.

This was in response to Develop asking Molyneux if he had plans on bringing his upcoming game, Godus, onto other platforms besides the PC, in which he responded by saying that the PS Vita would be a possibility. He also added that the Steam Box could be another platform that could be considered as well.

However as far as the Wii U was concerned, this is what Molyneux had to say. “I think the Wii U, if you tweak that very clumsy device, is a possibility but I find Wii U very awkward. I think the Steam Box with the touch-sensitive controller is interesting.”

Molyneux also expressed that it would be difficult to bring it onto next-gen consoles like the Xbox One or the PS4 due to the fact that touch controls was one of the key features of the game, which at the same time makes it ideal for mobile devices like smartphones and tablets as well.

We’re guessing terms like “clumsy” and “awkward” are probably terms that Nintendo does not want to hear right now, although at the same time it is feedback that the company should be considering.
