flappy-bertFlappy Bird fever is not quite over just yet, and here we are with more Flappy Bird news. Sort of, actually. U.S. children’s TV programme Sesame Street happens to have launched a parody of Flappy Bird, which is known as Flappy Bert. Needless to say, this will be Bert from the famous Bert & Ernie duo, where players will need to guide Bert to go through a range of different pipes. This is one of the cuter clones of the game, that is for sure, and it will not be the last of it. In fact, word on the street has it that even Fall Out Boy is working to roll their very own version of Flappy Bird. The American band mentioned on their official website, “Rome wasn’t built in a day, but this game was. We bring you Fall Out Bird…shoutout to the OG Flappy Bird, RIP.” You can view the YouTube video of Fall Out Bird after the jump.

The Apple App Store still has a fair number of games that feature similar titles or gaming concepts, where among them include Flappy Bee, City Bird: Flappy Flyer and Fly Birdie. The original Flappy Bird has been downloaded over 50 million times, which makes it the most popular mobile game for the year to date.
