ff14-unbanWe’re sure there are Final Fantasy gamers out there who own consoles and have played many of the Final Fantasy titles in the past. Unfortunately for the most part, Final Fantasy titles have typically been limited to console releases, like the Final Fantasy 13 trilogy of games, along with the upcoming Final Fantasy 15 which will see a release on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 only. Well the good news is that perhaps future Final Fantasy titles, after FF15 presumably, will make its way onto the PC as well. This is according to Square Enix who has expressed their interest in bringing future Final Fantasy titles onto the PC.

If they have the interest, why haven’t they done it? Save for Final Fantasy 11 and Final Fantasy 14, the game’s producer Yoshinori Kitase explained it by saying, “As far as the technology is concerned, it would have been possible for us to make a PC version, but we decided against it for two reasons: we looked at the market situation and we didn’t think it would be a good idea, and also it would have involved lots of complex issues like security. So we decided not to do it this time around.” Kitase also adds, “So in terms of our hope of being able to deliver our games to every single country in the world and to as many gamers as possible, yes, we would definitely be interested in pursuing that route in the future.”
