lego-phone-power-brickHave you watched the LEGO movie already? It was sort of fun to me, although I do question the wisdom of endowing it with such high ratings just because of the movie’s freshness. The COI+ LEGO Power Brick, as it is known, happens to be a block of LEGO which functions as an external battery pack for your smartphone or tablet, where it has been specially designed to deliver on-the-go charging all the while giving you a chance to exercise your creativity.

The Power Brick itself would measure 72mm x 120mm x 13mm, where there will also be slanted LEGO bricks that have been thrown into the mix which can be used to develop a customizable stand for the Power Brick. Not only that, there will also be an On/Off switch that is located on its underside that boasts of a grid of typical LEGO bumps on its top surface, so that you can have virtually unlimited possibilities when it comes to constructing a personal charging dock of your own.

It holds a lithium-polymer battery that has a capacity of 4,200 mAh, where the 115 gram Power Brick boasts of charge speeds of up to 2 A, and will play nice with “most smartphone and tablets.” It costs $49 a pop and will ship from March onward.
