lg-logo-001-640x480Do you feel as though it is compulsory these days for companies to roll out a “mini” version of a current device? For instance, the folks over at Samsung has the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, while HTC has their HTC One Mini, with Sony jumping aboard the bandwagon with their Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. This leads to the question – what about LG? I guess LG is not too far away from releasing a “mini” model from their collection of smartphones, with whispers of the LG G2 Mini making its rounds since last December.

CES 2014 came and went last month without any mention of the LG G2 Mini, which has led to another round of speculation – perhaps the LG G2 Mini would debut at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, later this month? It does make sense when you take into consideration that the Bluetooth SIG has just certified the LG G2 Mini. This smaller flagship model is known as the D620 if model numbers are your cup of tea, and the revealed screen resolution so far might be disappointing to fans – at a mere 540×960 resolution. Do expect it to be powered by Android 4.4 KitKat as the operating system of choice, where it is accompanied by Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE support.
