SamsungAtivOdyssey

If someone asks you about Samsung smartphones, you would probably start listing the very popular Android devices that the company has released over the past few years. They’re definitely something for the company to be proud of, but its not an exclusive manufacturer of Android devices. Samsung also makes Windows Phone smartphones, even though it has been quite a while since the Korean juggernaut released such a device. Rumor has it that Samsung and Verizon are teaming up to launch a new Windows Phone in the U.S.

The last time both companies collaborated on a Windows Phone was back in early 2013, when the Samsung Ativ Odyssey was announced. The rumor comes from renowned leaker on Twitter, @evleaks, who claims that this smartphone may be codenamed Huron and can possibly carry the SM-W750V model number. Without revealing too many details, @evleaks claims that the Huron will look very similar to a “late model Galaxy S,” so presumably the smartphone will have rounded corners and possibly a plastic body. No word as yet on whether this smartphone will become available for purchase, a release date is yet to be rumored. As expected both Verizon and Samsung have not commented on these rumors, so unless an unofficial announcement is made by them, take the rumor with a grain of salt.
