We had first caught wind of Obsidian Games’ South Park: The Stick of Truth back in 2012. The game was originally intended for a release in 2013, but due to a series of delays, the game was delayed until March 2014. The good news for gamers who are still patiently (and impatiently) waiting for the game is that the game is finally done and is good to go. This is according to the game’s publisher, Ubisoft, who has revealed that South Park: The Stick of Truth will be released on the 4th of March for a variety of platforms, including the PC, the Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3. Interestingly there was no mention of next-gen consoles but perhaps those will be added at a later date.

For those unfamiliar, South Park: The Stick of Truth is an upcoming RPG game based on the South Park universe and was developed by Obsidian Games when the creators of the cartoon approached them. The game will feature characters familiar to those who are regular followers of the cartoon and will also feature the same voice actors as well, along with a 2D look that has been unique to the television series. If the game is anything like the cartoon, gamers can look forward to a lot of swearing and inappropriate jokes, but then again we’re guessing gamers won’t mind as chance are the people who play this are probably fans of the cartoons themselves. So, who’s looking forward to getting their hands on the game?
