galaxy-s5-preview-mwc2014-08

A short while back Samsung finally unveiled its much rumored 2014 flagship at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona. The Galaxy S5 has been unveiled in all its glory, and while the company itself has already confirmed that major U.S. carriers are going to offer the device, Magenta has sent out a press release on its own. The T-Mobile Galaxy S5 is slated to hit the market in April this year.

There is quite a bit of gap between the announcement and the actual release of Samsung’s next generation flagship smartphone. The company formally confirmed during the announcement that its new crop of devices, both the smartphone and the new wearables, will hit the market in more than 100 countries on April 11. So far pricing information has not been provided for any product, even T-Mobile’s press release is devoid of the detail, so we’ll have to wait more on that. MetroPCS, which is owned by T-Mobile, is also going to carry the Galaxy S5 and will also launch it for its customers in April. Both T-Mobile and MetroPCS are running a contest, offering users a chance to win a free Galaxy S5 and a S-View flip cover. Additional details and rules can be found on the carrier’s website.
