nexus-7-2-review--015

Verizon has said quite a few times in the past that it is going to support the Nexus 7 on its LTE network, but up till now there had been no progress on its promise. Earlier this week it was rumored that Verizon Nexus 7 units had started to reach the carrier’s retail stores, thus hinting at an imminent launch. The rumor turned out to be true. Verizon has officially confirmed today that it will begin selling the Nexus 7, as well as supporting it on its country-wide LTE network, starting February 13th. Just in time for Valentines Day.

Customers don’t necessarily have to purchase the tablet from Verizon in order to use it on its LTE network. Those who have already purchased their Nexus 7 (2013) units can simply activate their device on its LTE network by downloading the latest software update. Customers wishing to purchase a Verizon Nexus 7 from the carrier’s retail stores or online store should know that the 32GB variant costs $349.99. For a limited time the carrier is offering said tablet for $249.99 with a new two year activation. The tablet will be available through Verizon’s website as well as its retail stores on February 13th. The carrier will also be selling Nexus 7 Folio cases in both Black and Red colors for $49.99.
