apple-carplayJust the other day, Apple announced CarPlay. This feature is basically Apple’s take on a car’s infotainment system and we have seen the feature adopted by manufacturers such as Ferrari, Mercedes, and Volvo.

Just yesterday Volvo released a short video in which they quickly walked us through some of the features of CarPlay. Well if you wanted a more comprehensive walkthrough of the CarPlay feature, you might be interested to learn that the folks at Engadget have managed to create a hands-on video for CarPlay in the Ferrari.

Of course we doubt that everyone will be going out and getting themselves a Ferrari just for the CarPlay feature, but we expect CarPlay in the Ferrari should be the same experience across the board, whether it be in a BMW, Honda, Hyundai, and so on.

The video gives us a more comprehensive look at CarPlay and some of its features, which is being walked through by one of Apple’s representatives. It shows us how we can use CarPlay to place calls through voice commands, activate Siri via a button on the steering wheel and so on.

So far based on what we have seen CarPlay is definitely shaping up to be a pretty cool feature that drivers can expect to see in certain car models in the future. If you’d like to check out the video, you can head on over to AOL’s website. Of course Google has their own infotainment system in the works so it will be interesting to see what Google will be able to bring to the table, but in the meantime, who’s impressed by what they see?
