asus-zenbook-nx500Word on the street has it that ASUS of Taiwan is working on a brand new 15” Ultrabook, the ASUS Zenbook NX500, and if the rumors surrounding it prove to be true, then it ought to arrive with a 4K Ultra HD display. Other possible features of this particular Ultrabook would include an aluminum body (to keep up with the times, I suppose), an anti-glare display, as well as ear rockin’ Bang & Olufsen audio. Do bear in mind that the Zenbook NX500 would not be the inaugural 15” Ultrabook from ASUS, and it seems that it will most probably arrive with an Intel Haswell CPU, not to mention that there is every possibility of a discrete graphics card underneath the hood to help it chug along nicely visually.

Should the purported ASUS Zenbook NX500 actually measure less than an inch thin, tips the scales at under 5 pounds, and sports a 4K display, then it would be worth checking out – if the price is right, of course. After all, can you really deem a device as an Ultrabook if it has a 15” display and weighs like a ton? This ought to be different from the UX notebook series from ASUS that we have seen in the past.
