galaxy-note-3-review-02

Good news for Galaxy Note 3 owners on AT&T. The carrier has finally started rolling out the KitKat update for this popular phablet. AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.2 update should automatically show up on subscribers’ devices. Since the roll out is done in stages, it may take some time before it becomes available for anyone. Though it shouldn’t take more than a few days for the roll out to be complete.

One of the biggest changes in this update is the improved user interface. It brings a re-styled status and navigation bars, full screen immersive mode, support for color emoji, improved closed captioning and more. Uses get the ability to choose a default messaging app when multiple messaging services are installed on the device.

Other improvements include better GPS performance. Galaxy Note 3 users on AT&T have recently been complaining a lot about GPS performance. New sound controls, integrated location menu, integrated support for wireless printing, stronger security and smarter power use are also present onboard. The lock screen new displays full screen album art and media controls.

The update comes in at around 540MB, so it would be best to download it on a strong Wi-Fi connection. if it doesn’t automatically show up on the Galaxy Note 3, one can also try manually searching for the update through the settings application.
