mgsWe’re sure many gamers are looking forward to getting their hands on the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes which will be seeing a release on the 18th of March. The game is a prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain which at the moment has only been pegged for a release on consoles like the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and the PS4.

At the same time we’re sure PC gamers would love to get their hands on the game as well, and the good news is that the game’s producer, Hideo Kojima, does not seem opposed to the idea of releasing Metal Gear Solid V for the PC as well.

Speaking to the folks over at GameSpot, Kojima said that he wouldn’t mind seeing the game arriving for the PC. He later adds, “PC, that’s my original background. I originally created PC games. A long time ago I didn’t want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do.”

So there you have it, it seems that MGS 5 for the PC is definitely a possibility, but whether or not the game is actually being worked on or being tested for the PC remains unknown. For all we know, Kojima might simply be musing out loud and that nothing has been done yet.

Of course there are a lot of factors that the developers and Konami have to take into consideration before releasing a game for the PC, but it’s good to know that the door isn’t closed. In fact given that both Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 did make an appearance for the PC, it wouldn’t be completely unprecedented for MGS 5 to arrive for the PC as well.

In the meantime what do gamers think? Would you like to see MGS5 and future Metal Gear Solid titles make its way onto the PC as well?
