INSTEON, the name behind one of the best-selling home automation and control technology, has just announced that its INSTEON Hub is now capable of connecting to the popular Nest Learning Thermostat. This would allow Nest users to be able to expand their home control lifestyle into various areas including as lighting, security and additional energy-saving devices.

Basically, Nest owners who have decided to pick up and install the INSTEON Hub for their homes, after having downloaded the free INSTEON app for both iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, of course, are able to include an installed Nest product to their list of remote-controlled devices within the INSTEON app itself.

After hooking up to INSTEON, Nest users are able to add additional home control devices in a jiffy from a wide range of products from the INSTEON catalog, where among them include LED light bulbs that will help create creating lighting scenes or to help increase your level of energy savings; wireless IP cameras and motion sensors for security monitoring; leak sensors for alerting users of water leaks before they can cause significant damage; among others.

Joe Dada, CEO of INSTEON, shared, “Nest Thermostat users know the tremendous value of home automation and can now easily build a truly connected home through our INSTEON Hub, devices and mobile app. Our affordable and wide array of products expands the possibilities of home connectivity, monitoring and control for Nest users.”
