Leica is a camera brand that many photography enthusiasts have heard about. In some way the brand could even be thought of as the Ferrari of cameras. If you’ve ever walked into a Leica showroom, you know what we’re talking about.
Well if you have a lot of money to spare and you wouldn’t mind checking out some newer cameras before making your purchase decision, might we interest you in a possible Leica mirrorless camera? This is thanks to a filing which revealed a certain Leica T model type 701 (not pictured above). This is a model that has been rumored about for a while now and could be unveiled soon.
In fact it might even be unveiled on the 24th of April in Berlin, Germany. This is thanks to a recent invite that Leica has been sending out (via LeicaRumors). Unfortunately the invite doesn’t tell us what we might be able to expect, but it has been speculated that it could be the unveiling of the Leica T type 701 mirrorless camera.
The exact specifications of this upcoming Leica camera remain unknown. It has been speculated that it will pack an APS-C sensor and will have some of its lenses made in Asia while the camera will be produced in Germany. Apart from that not much else is known.
Either way we guess we will find out more on the 24th of April, so if Leica is a brand you’ve had your eye on, perhaps you’ll want to check back with us then for the details. In the meantime chances are it will also be rather pricey, so prepare your credit cards!
