Are computer rooms still necessary these days? After all with the amount of streaming content we get these days, chances are it might be more enjoyable to stream the content onto a larger screen, like a television, and lay back on our sofas and enjoy the show.

Well regardless of whether you stream to your TV by hooking up your computer or through a set top box or even through gaming consoles, Logitech wants you covered which is why the company has recently announced the Harmony Smart Keyboard which basically puts the remote control into a keyboard and touchpad combo.

The keyboard will bring about features that one might use to navigate menus or surf the web, such as a Guide button, Pause, Play, and Channel Up and Down buttons. It will also feature game console navigation buttons for those who want to do a little gaming in the living room.

Logitech will also bundle the Harmony Hub which will be able to receive the commands from the keyboard and your smartphone, through the Harmony app, and transmit it to your entertainment device. According to Logitech, they are boasting compatibility with more than 225,000 home-entertainment systems and over 5,000 brands.

Priced at $149.99, the Logitech Harmony Smart Keyboard can be pre-ordered via Logitech’s website. In the meantime you can check out the video above to get an idea of what to expect.
